Cyrillic Old Face TrueType font
A free Old Cyrillic font for Windows and Mac / Police d’alphabet cyrillique ancien gratuit pour Windows et Mac Cyrillic Old Face / font cyrilice
David Zbral
Introduction
The raison d’être of this font is simply that I wasn’t able to find any Old Cyrillic font with all the features I need for writing Old Church Slavonic (see below “Some features”). I decided to share the font with other readers of Old Church Slavonic.
Acknowledgements

Character table
Please download and install the Cyrillic Old Face font first (Windows variant, Mac OS variant) and reload the page to see the correct characters.
The following table includes only some of the characters (those whose position is not obvious). Where the character can be written in more than one way, the first is recommended, but it doesn’t matter if you prefer another one, just use always the same, so that you can search well your texts (you can share your files without problem with other users of Cyrillic Old Face even if you don’t use the recommended character, just the searching of the text – or of entries in your Old Church Slavonic PC dictionary, for example – is affected: if they write ja as , they will not find it in your document if you write it as unless repeating the search, with this time).
The purpose of the character mapping used in Cyrillic Old Face is not to fit all national keyboards but mainly to be “correct”, where possible (standard Roman transcription and new Cyrillic). Sometimes keyboard shortcuts are indicated; they are valid for many Roman and Cyrillic keyboards. You can also define your own shortcuts in most editors (Microsoft Word for instance: Insert / Symbol, select the font Cyrillic Old Face, select the symbol and define the shortcut, it’s quick and easy); thus you can optimize the access to the characters. For example you can define the shortcuts stated below, if any of them doesn’t work in your system. The shortcuts seem complicated, but after using it twice or thrice, they become very easy. (Usually, Ctrl+Alt can be substituted by AltGr.)
You can also simply Copy/Paste the less common characters from this page, if it suits you better.
See below the character mappings of some national keyboards.

Keyboards
It is not necessary, but if you use Roman keyboard, I recommend you to install the Czech keyboard (under the Control Pane), which gives you an easy access to many of the characters (some of them useful also for the standard Roman transcription of Cyrillic); with Czech keyboard all AltGr combinations should work. You can easily switch between the installed keyboards (default: Alt+Shift). The mapping is as follows:
